Fifth Devlog - The journey ends!


...For us. The journey ends for us in our course, but it is just about to begin for you!

Ok, let's see the final stretch our team gave.

Raquel: She gave the final tweaks to our game art and did an amazing Game Over screen, that I hope you wont see that much :D, sprites like the boss hp bar, particles that differentiate enemies that drop items from those who don't, once again she went for it and got it done. She also prettified our itch.io page, the one you probably saw a few seconds ago and found amazing. There's not much more to say, she's doing amazing.

Pedro: This week was really crazy! I decided to do a whole animation for when the bee dies, which looks dope, as well as animating the Game Over screen, which looks simple but gave a lot of work. Did the whole logic behind the story mode, as well as the WHOLE STORY. Almost 6000 words after, we got a steady base to introduce the dialogues we wanted in our game. Everything else is getting tuned by me to make sure the game turns out somewhat enoyable.

Joao: Hi there! This week I came back from the depths of the hive, firstly I helped with adding a drop to our bee friends, I also helped putting the dialogues inside the game. To finish I went exploring for some game sounds that suited our game as well as some random descriptions for items in the inventory.

Miguel: Hello everyone! Since it's the final stretch of our development untill mojo, I'm still mostly on analysis duty, so I've been putting all my efforts in developing a good instrumentation so we can have an amazing way to gather data during the playtest in order to understand better what are our players needs and unintended difficulties. Now we can store multiple runs associated to a single user so we can maybe in the future associate certain game choices to different players styles!

It is all for this week. We absolutely loved our journey developing the game. More updates may come in the future, as well as more or even better games, so make sure to follow our amazing team.
